Step to the music!
A traditional band with a truly worldwide reach, Téada has appeared as a frequent headliner at major music festivals throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Africa, Russia, The Middle Eastand Australia. Highlights include a 30,000-capacity stadium concert in Brittany, along with performances at Penang World Music Festival in Malaysia, Edmonton Folk Festival in Canada, Harare International Festival of the Arts in Zimbabwe, and Campeche International Festival in Mexico. In March/April 2014, the band performed to 40,000 people during an extensive 7-weektour of Japan / Taiwan organized by a major Japanese cultural organisation Min-on Concert Association.
Continuing to grow in vision and popularity, Téada welcomed extra members to the line-up, legendary singer West Kerry andaccordionist Séamus Begley, winner of 2013 TG4 Traditional Singer of the Year. The band has recently received a Yeats funding award for a production with leading actors Macdara Ó Fatharta, Marcus Lamb and lighting/set designer Zia Holly celebrating the Sligo-inspired poetry of W.B. Yeats (2015). Other collaborations and projects include Special ReAwakening tour of US selected by Culture Ireland as part of Ireland 2016 Centenary Programme (2016), a performance with the prestigious Music Center of Los Angeles and African-American string band The Ebony Hillbillies (2011), and a commemorative event in Rome partnered with Irish Embassy in Rome and singer Róisín Elsafty marking the 400th anniversary of The Flight of the Earls (2007).

Let’s Step dance!
Irish step dancing is a favorite all over the world with its graceful movements and rhythmic tempo. It is entertaining for the individual, yet brings even more joy when done as a group. Téada dancer Samantha Harvey from Ireland will teach some basic moves so you can tap along during the Téada performance!
